Here is a list of State Apiarists. We try to maintain it but be aware that there might be changes which are not yet included here.
Generally responsibilites which this post will cover are many and various. Here are some of their duties, but each state will have its own criteria.
Regulatory work such as apiary registration and inspection, coordination of other inspectors, diagnostic testing for disease and mite treatment resistance, etc.
Beekeeper outreach and a contact point for beekeepers across the state involved in courses, meetings, board participation, composing an Apiary Inspector Manual, fact sheets, newsletter articles and other publications
Public (non-beekeeper) outreach on bees, beekeeping, and pollination / agricultural liaison.
