Desperation Bee Nest Removal

Bee Swarm Under Shed Floor

Bee Swarm Under Shed Floor

I work for California State Parks at the Tijuana Estuary in Imperial Beach.

We were removing items and a small shed from the nursery yard to make room for a new nursery and storage building. The small shed happened to have a beehive underneath it which needed to be removed before the shed could be moved. As the deadline for the removal of the shed drew closer, I was trying to get someone to remove the bees safely and alive. I contacted one bee keeper who was very busy and ultimately couldn't remove the bees.

As the deadline to remove the bees drew close to the 11th hour, I contacted San Diego Bees. I told the owner that I was desperate, I really wanted to remove the bees alive. Geoff-Kipps Bolton was very kind and listened to my story. Geoff consented to come remove the bees as soon as possible. Fortunately the bees were removed safely and are in their new home with Geoff. What a great service!

In fact he got me to hold his video camera while he was working, you can see the video if you click on this link.
