Ask Me a Question!

People always ask me a question whenever they find out that I'm a beekeeper. 'How do bees make honey?', 'How to start beekeeping?', 'How to keep bees.'

Every now and then someone comes up with a new one, 'Do bees actually go to sleep at night?', 'What pollinated plants in America before the settlers brought honeybees from Europe?' It never ceases to amaze me that people are so interested. I suppose honeybees are very familiar to everyone, and yet their knowledge is fairly superficial.

Here is the place to ask those questions, send in a question using the form below, include your name and email address and I will do my best to answer them. The best ones will be posted on the Frequently Asked Questions page. (FAQ)

Do you have honeybee questions?

Here's the place to ask them. It doesn't matter what the question is, it might be something like, 'Which bees are male and which are female?' Or something a little more technical, 'What is the name of the gland near the worker's sting which is used to produce a pheromone which attracts other workers, like a call come home?', or 'How can I get a new swarm out of my chimney?'

Submit any questions you have, to which you'd like an answer. We'll answer them as soon as we can.

Please make sure you include your email address on the next page so we can notify you and send the reply.
